You may have heard that statistics can be used (presented in a way) to "prove" anything. In fact, eminent alternative and conventional cancer treatment researcher Lothar Hirneise devotes much space to the fallacies and lying associated with conventional oncology's "success" statistics (a “success” may for instance involve just a few months lived beyond expectation with severe impairment of quality of life, or ”tumor response” while the truly important thing is normally to prevent metastasis).

Chemotherapy Survival

This article published in the December 2004 issue of Clinical Oncology states the real chemotherapy survival statistics of 2.1% and 2.3% in the U.S. and Austrailia, respectively. In other words, in the U.S. only 2.1% of people getting chemo would survive for 5 years. That means that your chance of dying if taking chemotherapy is almost 98%!
